The Final Days: Our 21 Day Detox
We made it! So our 21 days ended today and for the most part it was easy.
I will say we both had a couple slip ups this weekend with my brother and his friends in town, it's really hard to sit at the microbreweries here in town and not indulge in an oatmeal stout, and our usual pizza rendezvous at Tarrantino's when family is in town. Anyways one bad mishap, but we finished strong. Overall the experience has been a positive one. Except for those first few days when the headaches and fatigue set in, we both felt pretty good. I lost a total of 4 pounds and Dr. Josh lost 9 pounds. Both of us had more energy, even without our usual morning coffee and I did notice a little improvement in my skin breakouts (although the first week I broke out as toxins were leaving via my skin). The main thing that this detox provided us with though is the habit of eating healthy. Even as much as we love pizza and beer we did notice the day we ate and drank we did feel sluggish and worn out. Noticing that we are definitely going to continue eating clean and stay away from all the junk. The next week are menu is still packed full of meals that we would be able to eat on the detox.
So if this has left any of you motivated to detox your eating habits, please let Dr. Josh and I help you choose the right detox for you. Also if any of you are wanting to try any of the recipes we showed over the past 21 days I have them all and love to share.
